Overlooking the Rhone Valley at an altitude of 1,495 meters, Crans-Montana offers a breathtaking view of the region's iconic peaks, from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc. While the alpine city is widely known for its tourist appeal through its wild nature, clean air and almost permanent sunshine, it is in the process of becoming a major economic hub with international reach. Its main year-round economic sectors are medical, education and civil engineering.

Start-ups specialising in new technologies, med-tech, education and deeptech, have established themselves in Crans-Montana, Icogne and Lens. This new haven of innovation offers entrepreneurs a unique location with all the infrastructure necessary for the development of innovative tech projects, and an idyllic environment for their families.

As President of Crans-Montana, Nicolas Féraud is focused on the economic development of Crans-Montana. Together with Rafal Hys, he is working to attract new businesses and to connect them with one another. The aim is to promote synergies amongst the businesses that come to the region as well as to broaden and diversify the economy. Nicholas has supported projects in the fields of economy, tourism, culture and sports, helping them to integrate with businesses in the medical, education, civil engineering, tourism, agriculture & viticulture and finance sectors. As for high-tech innovation, it can be found through various start-ups, including the Alpine X project which will develop the ecosystem of the future within a sublime nature conducive to future generations.
